Allama Iqbal remembered on 133rd birth anniversary

The Poet of the East, Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

A national holiday to commemorate the 133rd birth anniversary of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal was observed on Tuesday.

A special change of guard ceremony was held at the Mausoleum of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and the national flag was hoisted on all principal government buildings.

A contingent of Pakistan Rangers and Pakistan Navy presented the guard of honour which was inspected by Station Commander Kamran. The Pakistan Navy contingent assumed the duty of guarding Iqbal’s mausoleum.
