Sialkot lynching: Prosecutors refuse to follow case

LAHORE:?Public prosecutors on Friday refused to follow the Sialkot lynching case in the Lahore High Court (LHC) saying that civil departments have failed to provide them with any support.

Barrister Ehtisham and Advocate Khawaja Sultan informed the provincial home department of their decision expressing their their dissatisfaction over the role played by civil departments in the context of the Sialkot case.

Around a month earlier, the grieved family of the two lynched brothers Hafiz Mughees and Muneeb Butt had expressed dissatisfaction over the police inquiry report produced before the Supreme Court (SC) by the joint investigating team comprising of the senior police officials.
