Definition of leadership

The definition of leadership is not always easy to identify, since it seems quite moving. Here is an attempt to give a fair idea of the definition of leadership.

The definition of leadership, initially, is as follows: it is the ability of an individual to manage and change one or more groups of other individuals.
However, this definition of leadership, minimalist, is incomplete.

Indeed, in the definition of leadership, other parameters come into play. During the first uses of the term "leadership" included a concept of innate talent, charisma. Leadership is not only the ability to manage a group, but also and especially to persuade and lead. In this definition of leadership, there are heads of babies.

However, this definition of leadership now seems outdated, and there may be a turning point in how to develop leadership. Indeed, the definition of leadership is more often associated with learning, experience and achievement. Thus, in this definition of leadership is not necessarily an innate quality, but a skill that can be acquired through over time, just like the work.

On this last definition of leadership that many today are based leadership training. Learning leadership is now part of the field of disciplines to teach future leaders. It is thus Chairs Leadership and Managerial Skills in schools as prestigious EDHEC. But we also find this new discipline in training more politicized, as WLP (Women's Learning Partnership), dedicated to leadership development and empowerment of women worldwide.
The definition of leadership that included the idea of learning and opens horizons for everyone.
